PART III: FEDERAL PROPERTY

Any seasoned defense attorney will tell You that there is a vast difference between ordinary state criminal acts and those charged under the federal system, both in terms of conviction rate (which is extraordinarily high in the 90%+ range at the federal level) and sentencing (most time under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines is served). Therefore, carrying a handgun onto federal property, while allowable in certain situations, must be properly executed.  There are different rules, and these are broken down and addressed in the following chapters:

  • Chapter 14: Federal Property and Lands
  • Chapter 15: Federal Buildings
  • Chapter 16: National Parks and Wildlife Refuges
  • Chapter 17: Federal Courts and Courthouses
